Whether it’s your child or a student in your classroom, ASSIST can support them through life changing events, troubling behaviour or emotional difficulties. Using specific child friendly therapies all children are provided specialist care in a supportive environment.
Through evidence based treatments like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and complimented by alternative approaches like Expressive Therapies (ET), ASSIST will create targeted strategies to assist in every facet of your child’s emotional, social or behavioural development.
ASSIST can help your child or adolescent with:
- Depression and Anxiety
- School refusal
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Autism, Asperger’s and other Developmental Disorder
- Anger and behavioural problems
- Separation and divorce
- Processing of past trauma, abuse or neglect, and family issues
- Skill development in the areas of:
- Anger Management
- Stress Management and Relaxation
- Coping skills
- Social Skills Development
- Self-esteem Building
- Assertiveness and Communication skills or
- Problem solving and others.

Speak with your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician about a referral. Your GP can refer under a Mental Health Care Plan, if they deem it appropriate, enabling you to receive a Medicare rebate on sessions with ASSIST.
