Annemari began and completed her training as a Psychologist in South Africa.
She is an accredited Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Level 5 provider and is also listed with the APS as an Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) Identified Practitioner.
Annemari has completed research on emotional intelligence and has particular interests in childhood obesity and parent-child interaction therapy (enhancing the parent-child relationship).
She has extensive experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and is skilled in creatively blending CBT, Narrative and Play therapy when working with young children.
Annemari’s particular expertise is working with children and young people who are having difficulties with anxieties and depression, have experienced grief and loss, are struggling with adjustment difficulties, and with the behavioural problems of young children, including children with Autism and other developmental disorders.
